Meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the City of Clarkson Valley at City Hall (Fru-Con Center), January 7, 2014.

The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. A roll call was taken with the following results:

Alderperson Schultz made a motion to accept the Minutes.  Alderperson Sittser seconded the motion.  A voice vote was taken to accept the Minutes with an affirmative result and the motion was declared passed.   

REMARKS, PETITIONS AND COMPLAINTS 

There were no remarks, petitions or complaints.  

REPORTS

St. Louis County Police Report:  Officer Wehner gave the December 2013 Activity Report.   

Mayor’s Report

Court Report:  The total amount collected for traffic fines and court costs for the month of December 2013 was $10,836.50. 

Kehrs Mill Trails Lake Issue:  Mayor Douglass reported he met with several residents of Kehrs Mill Trails affected by the lake dredging and their attorney.  They are hoping the City can help them find a resolution. 

Employee Health and Dental Insurance - Actuals versus Budgeted Amounts:  Mayor Douglass asked everyone to look at the Revenue/Expense Report in their folder and referred to the budgeted amount for the employee's health and dental insurance.  He stated the actual payments would be higher than the budgeted amount.  On the other hand he said, the liability insurance was less than anticipated, making the difference $240. 

Deer Count:  Mayor Douglass reported the harvest for the year so far is 17 does and 2 bucks.  He said the season ends January 15th.   

Alderpersons' Reports 

New Construction in Forest Hills Club Estates:  Alderperson Schultz reported there are two new houses under construction in his subdivision.  He said the Trustees are getting ready to send a letter to each household in his subdivision listing the rules for tearing down homes. 

City Attorney's Report 

There was no report.   

UNFINISHED BUSINESS 

There was no unfinished business. 

NEW BUSINESS 

There was no new business. 

Audit:  Alderperson Schultz made a motion to approve for payment invoices in the amount of $65,644.53 seconded by Alderperson Midyett.  A voice vote was taken with a unanimous affirmative result and the motion was declared passed.  

Alderperson Schultz made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Alderperson Sittser.  A voice vote was taken with a unanimous affirmative result and the motion was declared passed.  The Meeting of the Board of Aldermen adjourned at 7:45 p.m.
